The headline, and the arithmetic under it

Our Welcome Bonus: 400% up to C$1,500 plus 240 Free Spins

How we calculate the 400%, why C$375 fills it exactly, how the 240 spins arrive and expire, what 25–35× wagering costs in turnover, and what the offer is genuinely worth once you've played it through. We'd rather you knew than be surprised later.

A 400% match sits at the generous end of the market, and 240 spins is a large package. Neither figure tells you what the offer is worth to you. That comes down to the wagering, the game contributions, and two clauses that void more bonuses than everything else combined.

How do we calculate the 400%?

The 400% multiplies your first qualifying deposit. The C$1,500 is a hard ceiling on bonus funds, not a target you deposit toward. Once the multiplier reaches C$1,500, more deposit earns nothing further under this offer.

First deposit amounts, the bonus Oxibet credits on each, the resulting playable balance, and where the C$1,500 cap takes effect.

C$1,000C$1,500C$2,500C$625 earned no extra bonus

C$375 is the efficient maximum. Below it you're leaving bonus on the table; above it you're funding play for nothing extra from us. The right deposit is still the one that fits your bankroll — C$375 chased to fill our ceiling is a worse decision than a C$60 deposit you were happy to make.

How do the 240 free spins actually work?

Each spin is worth C$0.20, so the package has a nominal face value of C$48. They don't all land at once. We release them in tranches over the days after your first deposit, each tied to a featured slot and valid for a defined window. Three things follow.

  • Unused spins in a tranche expire. They don't roll into the next one. Miss three days of your first week and those spins are gone.
  • You don't pick the game. Each tranche is locked to a named title. If the mechanic doesn't suit you, the spins are still only usable there.
  • Winnings are bonus funds, not cash. If the 240 spins produce C$80, that C$80 lands in your bonus balance carrying the same wagering as the match. The spins are free; what they generate isn't unconditional.

One habit fixes most of this: open the bonus section of your account once a day that first week. Ten seconds, and it's the difference between using 240 spins and 120.

What does 25–35× cost you in turnover?

Bonus funds have to be wagered between 25 and 35 times before they convert to withdrawable cash. The exact multiple depends on the terms live when you claim, which is why we publish a range. Read the figure in the cashier as you opt in.

Total wagering turnover needed to clear bonus amounts from C$40 to C$1,500 at multiples of 25, 30 and 35 times.
Bonus receivedAt 25×At 30×At 35×
C$40C$1,000C$1,200C$1,400
C$400C$10,000C$12,000C$14,000
C$800C$20,000C$24,000C$28,000
C$1,500C$37,500C$45,000C$52,500

Put C$45,000 into session terms. At C$1 a spin that's 45,000 spins. At the C$5 ceiling we allow while wagering, it's 9,000. A brisk session runs perhaps 600 to 800 spins an hour, so the full C$1,500 at 30× is between 11 and 75 hours of play, inside a 20-day window.

That's not a reason to skip the offer. It's a reason to claim it at a deposit you'll realistically play through, and to know the largest version is built for high-volume players.

Clearing wagering means playing slots. You can grind at a roulette table, but the contribution rate makes it five to ten times slower with nothing gained.

What is the bonus really worth?

Here's the sum we'd rather show than leave out. Take the C$1,500 maximum at 30× wagering, played on a 96% RTP slot — RTP being the share of stakes a game returns over the long run, and 96% a fair average across our mainstream titles.

The working

Required turnover: C$1,500 × 30 = C$45,000.
Expected loss across that turnover at 96% RTP: 4% of C$45,000 = C$1,800.
You begin with C$1,500 in bonus funds plus your C$375 deposit — C$1,875 of playable balance against C$1,800 of expected loss.
Expected cashable value at the end: roughly C$450, about 30% of the headline figure.

Two things about that number. First, it's an expectation, not a prediction. Variance dominates a single play-through: plenty of players finish well above C$450, plenty bust before completing and finish with nothing. C$450 is the middle of a wide spread.

Second, 30% of face value is a strong result for our licence tier. Many attractive-looking competitor offers land nearer 15–20% once their wagering is counted. We're not running these numbers to talk you out of the offer — we're running them so the figure in your head is C$450 rather than C$1,500.

The framing we'd use: a welcome bonus is a play extender. It buys more session time on the same deposit. It isn't free money, and we won't call it that.

Which terms void a bonus?

Five clauses cause most welcome-bonus disputes across the industry, and ours are the standard ones. Knowing them costs two minutes.

The C$5 maximum bet

While wagering is outstanding, a single bet above C$5 per spin or hand voids what's left of the bonus. This catches more players than every other term combined, usually through an autoplay setting.

The 20-day expiry

Bonus funds and spins expire 20 days after we credit them. The clock starts at credit, not first use, so a bonus claimed and then left for a fortnight has burned most of its window.

Withdrawing mid-wagering

Ask for a withdrawal while wagering is incomplete and you forfeit the bonus and everything it produced. Your own cash deposit stays withdrawable. The bonus and its winnings don't.

One bonus at a time

The welcome offer won't stack with a later promotion. Finish it or let it lapse first, or that second offer simply won't apply to your deposit.

One claim per player

One per person, household and IP address. A second account opened to claim it again ends with both closed and bonus winnings forfeited. We do enforce this.

Opt in before you deposit

Select the offer at the cashier before your first deposit confirms. Adding it later depends on our discretion, and becomes impossible once you play a game.

The bonus-buy trap

Many modern slots sell direct entry to their bonus round for 60 to 100 times the base stake. At a C$1 stake that's a C$60 to C$100 single wager — twelve to twenty times over our C$5 cap. Buying a feature while wagering is outstanding voids the bonus instantly, and it's the most common way players lose one without realising. Wait until wagering is done.

How would we claim it?

  • Deposit what fits your bankroll, not what fills our cap. If C$100 is your normal deposit, take the C$400 and be content.
  • Treat C$5 as a ceiling, not a stake. Wagering through at C$0.50 or C$1 a spin takes more spins but buys far more session time.
  • Switch autoplay off while wagering. A stake carried over from an earlier session is how the C$5 cap gets breached by accident.
  • Play slots, ideally medium volatility. A balance that busts before wagering completes returns nothing, whatever the RTP says.
  • Read the exact multiple at opt-in. The gap between 25× and 35× on C$1,500 is C$15,000 of turnover.
  • Let a bonus lapse rather than chase it. If day 18 arrives with most of the wagering left, forcing play to rescue it costs more than the bonus was worth.

What comes after the welcome offer?

The welcome bonus is single-claim. Once it's cleared or expired, our standing menu takes over: weekly reload matches around 50% up to C$200, free-spin drops, leaderboards and seasonal campaigns, all on the promotions page. Loyalty points run underneath everything at one point per C$1 wagered, converting to cashback whether or not a bonus is active — see the VIP and loyalty page. No account yet? Our registration walkthrough shows where the opt-in sits, and the payments page covers depositing.

Bonus offers are designed to encourage longer sessions and bigger deposits than you'd otherwise make. That's their commercial function and we'd rather name it. If an offer is pulling you past your usual deposit, it's costing you rather than helping. Our responsible gambling page covers limits, timers and self-exclusion, and lists free confidential helplines across Canada. In a crisis, call or text 9-8-8.

Welcome bonus questions

What exactly is the Oxibet welcome bonus?

A 400% match on your first qualifying deposit, capped at C$1,500 in bonus funds, plus 240 free spins worth C$0.20 each. One per player, first deposit only, and it must be selected at the cashier before that deposit confirms. Wagering runs at 25–35× depending on the terms live when you claim.

How much should I deposit for the full C$1,500?

C$375 exactly. The 400% multiplier reaches our C$1,500 ceiling at that point, so anything above it on the first transaction earns no additional welcome bonus. Deposit what suits your bankroll rather than stretching to fill the cap — a smaller deposit still gets matched at the same 400%.

What is the bonus worth after wagering?

A C$1,500 bonus at 30× needs C$45,000 of turnover. On a 96% RTP slot the expected loss across that turnover is C$1,800, leaving an expected cashable value of roughly C$450 — about 30% of the headline. That's a good figure for our licence tier, but it isn't C$1,500 in withdrawable cash, and individual results vary widely.

Why did my bonus disappear?

Almost always one of three things: a single bet above the C$5 maximum while wagering was outstanding, the 20-day expiry passing, or a withdrawal requested before wagering finished. The most common accidental version is a slot's buy-feature, which costs 60 to 100 times the base stake and breaks the max-bet rule instantly.

Do the free spins carry their own wagering?

Yes. Anything the 240 spins win lands in your bonus balance and carries the same 25–35× wagering as the deposit match. The spins themselves cost you nothing, but the value they generate isn't immediately withdrawable. Each tranche is also tied to one featured slot and expires at the end of its own window.

Can I clear the wagering on live dealer or tables?

Not in practice. Slots contribute 100%, while RNG table games and live dealer contribute at a heavily reduced rate or are excluded outright. Clearing a bonus at roulette is technically possible and five to ten times slower, with nothing gained for the extra hours. Sports bets contribute nothing at all.

What happens if I don't finish wagering in 20 days?

The remaining bonus funds and any winnings still attached to them expire and come off the account. Your own cash balance is untouched. If the deadline is close and substantial turnover is left, letting the bonus lapse is usually cheaper than forcing the play needed to save it.
